Reducing Orthodontic Elastic Waste
We’ve noticed that many elastics go unused and are often discarded, contributing to unnecessary waste. To combat this, we are:
Handing Out Fewer Bags of Elastics: We’re mindful of the high volume of waste and are adjusting the number of elastics distributed.
Encouraging Returns: If you have unused and unopened elastics, we kindly ask that you return them to us. This small act helps significantly reduce waste.
Reducing X-Ray Prints
To help protect our planet, we’re cutting down on printed X-rays we already share them via email and online with our patients and referring doctors. This simple switch saves paper, toner, and reduces waste—a win for both you and the environment! Prefer a printed copy? Just let our team know, and we’ll happily provide one.
Reusing Retainer Boxes
Plastic waste is a growing concern, and we’re taking steps to address it by:
Encouraging Reuse: We ask that you reuse your existing retainer box whenever possible. There’s no need for a new box when a perfectly good one is available!
Requesting Only When Necessary: If you require a new retainer box, please let our team know. However, if you’re happy to join us as an environmental warrior, your efforts will be greatly appreciated.

We’re proud to have planted a garden full of Spekboom, known as one of the best plants for carbon sequestration. This hardy, water-wise plant plays a crucial role in capturing carbon and improving air quality.
